St. Paul Education is proud to announce that Angela Noel has officially transitioned into the role of Principal at Glen Avon School. After serving in the acting principal role, Angela now steps fully into this leadership position, bringing with her nearly two decades of experience in education and a strong commitment to student success and community building.

Born in Whitecourt and raised in Bonnyville, Alberta, Angela attended school in the Northern Lights School Division and graduated from Bonnyville Centralized High School. She went on to earn a combined Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta, majoring in Biology and minoring in Mathematics.

Angela began her teaching career in 2005 and has taught a variety of science courses, including Biology 20 and 30. She spent 12 years as Assistant Principal at St. Paul Regional High School, where she also championed student success through her work in student supports.

“My husband and I have lived in St. Paul since we were married 15 years ago,” Angela shared. “We’ve raised our two boys here—Ethan, who is in Grade 12, and Ryan, in Grade 9. Our family is deeply involved in the community, especially through sports. Whether we’re traveling, camping, or cheering from the sidelines, we’re always together.”

Outside of school, Angela enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on walks, camping, and volunteering. She finds joy in staying connected to her community and being present for her kids’ activities.

Looking ahead, Angela is eager to continue her work at Glen Avon School in an official capacity.

“I am passionate and driven to help students succeed,” she said. “I look forward to building strong relationships with students, staff, and families, and to fostering a positive, collaborative school culture.”
