Excellence in Catholic Teaching

Mme. Suzanne Michaud recently received an Excellence in Catholic Education award at the Council of Catholic School Superintendents Awards ceremony.  This ceremony is held every year during the Alberta Catholic School Trustees' Association Blueprints Conference.  The award honors teachers who are dedicated to Catholic education, inspire their students, and have demonstrated excellence in teaching.  Congratulations to Mme. Michaud for this accomplishment.

 
IMPORTANT - Changes to In Town Bussing Fees for 2013/14

Due to the ever increasing demand for "in-town bussing" St. Paul Education must adjust fees in order to continue accommodating extraordinary service requests.  Fees have not increased since 1996.  For more information on fee changes, Click here.

 
May 7 is National Child & Youth Mental Health day! Join us in supporting the mental health of our kids by connecting with them and showing that you care.

May 6-10 is Mental Health Week, an annual national event that encourages people from all walks of life to learn, talk, reflect, and engage with others on all issues relating to mental health.

 

 
2013 Edwin Parr Nominee

St. Paul Education proudly announces that Kayla Fluker of Ecole Mallaig School has been named as a nominee for an Edwin Parr Excellence in Teaching award. Each year, a number of beginning teachers are recognised by the province for their outstanding work as first-year teachers.  The winners will be announced at a banquet later this month.  Best wishes to Kayla.

 
Scholarship Opportunity for FG Miller students

ScreenHunter 13 May. 07 16.09St. Paul Education is pleased to announce a scholarship sponsored by the family of Violet E. McFadyen.  This scholarship of $500 will go to a grade 12 student from FG Miller School or a current employee of the Elk Point Health Care Centre.  The student/employee must have a grade 12 average of 75% or higher and must be entering a public post-secondary institution in a program related to professional medical care (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, medicine, etc.).  Applicants must apply in their graduating year and are required to submit an essay indicating career plans and financial need.  Proof of acceptance and attendance must also be provided.  The deadline to apply is June 1.  Pictured to the right is Ms. Myrna Fox presenting the scholarship plaque to Trustee Darrell Younghans.
